These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of CognitiveIQ (“the Service”), provided by SourceForge Software Services Pvt Ltd (“we”, “us”). By creating an account, paying for an assessment, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
CognitiveIQ provides online cognitive, personality, and general-knowledge assessments with verifiable PDF certificates. The Service is offered “as is”, on a commercially reasonable best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, though we work to maintain it.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By registering you confirm that you are of legal age, that the information you provide is accurate, and that you accept responsibility for activity carried out under your account.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. Notify us promptly at support@cognitiveiq.in if you suspect unauthorised access. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that, in our reasonable judgement, are being used to harm the Service, other users, or the integrity of issued certificates.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- circumvent test integrity by sharing answers, scraping question banks, or using automated tools;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity in registration or testing;
- resell, white-label, or commercially redistribute Service output without a written agreement;
- upload illegal, defamatory, or non-consensual content as your profile photograph;
- attempt to access the Service’s administrative, billing, or security systems by unauthorised means.
5. Payments and fees
Test fees are displayed in Indian Rupees (INR), inclusive of applicable GST where shown, before you commit to a purchase. Payment is processed through Razorpay; the contract for payment is between you and Razorpay subject to their terms. We do not store your payment instrument.
Fees once paid are non-refundable except where (a) we fail to deliver the assessment through a fault on our side, (b) a duplicate charge is captured, or (c) refund is required by Indian consumer-protection law. Refund requests can be made within 14 days of purchase to support@cognitiveiq.in.
6. Test results and certificates
Assessment results, IQ scores, personality profiles, knowledge percentages, and the narratives generated for you are provided for personal and informational use. They are not a substitute for clinical assessment, professional psychological evaluation, medical diagnosis, or licensed career counselling.
Each certificate carries a unique 16-character identifier and a public verification URL. We retain the certificate record indefinitely so the verification page remains accurate, even if your account is later closed. You may request anonymisation of the personal details displayed on a stored certificate.
7. Intellectual property
CognitiveIQ, including its design, code, question bank, certificate templates, and narrative-generation pipelines, is owned by SourceForge Software Services Pvt Ltd and protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. The IPIP and RIASEC instruments we use are public domain in their original form; our adaptations and scoring code are not.
You retain ownership of personal data you upload (e.g., your photograph), and grant us only the limited licence required to deliver the Service to you.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of opportunity, employment, admission, or reputation, that may be alleged to follow from your assessment results. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time by writing to us. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, or as required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including payment, intellectual property, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution — will continue to apply.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kolkata, West Bengal. Before initiating legal action you agree to first attempt good-faith resolution by writing to legal@cognitiveiq.in.
11. Changes
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email to registered users at least seven days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
