Is this a scientifically valid IQ test?+
Our IQ assessment uses methodology aligned with established psychometric frameworks, including Wechsler-style age norming and a bell-curve scoring approach with a standard deviation of 15. It is not a clinical assessment — for those, a licensed psychologist administering a WAIS or Stanford-Binet is the appropriate path.
Can my IQ actually change if I retake the test?+
Honest answer: IQ as a construct is relatively stable in adulthood. What does change with practice is your test performance — through format familiarity, better time management, reduced anxiety, and targeted study. We track your performance trajectory across retakes and celebrate real improvement, without overclaiming that your underlying cognitive ability has shifted.
How is the personality test different from MBTI?+
We use the Big Five (OCEAN) model, which is the scientific consensus in modern personality research. MBTI is not considered scientifically reliable by most psychologists. We keep the dimensional view, which preserves more information and is more actionable than typology.
What happens to my data?+
Your responses and results are stored only to deliver your reports, track your progress over time, and generate your certificate. We never sell personal data. Aggregated and anonymised statistics help us calibrate item difficulty. You can request full deletion at any time.
Is the certificate verifiable by third parties?+
Yes. Every certificate includes a 16-character unique identifier and a QR code pointing to a public verification URL. Anyone can visit that URL and see the issuance date, candidate name, and test type — without accessing your score.
Can students get a discount?+
Yes. Students at partner institutions receive coupon codes for reduced or waived fees. If your college or coaching institute would like to issue coupons to cohorts, reach out through the contact form — we issue codes to institutions at no cost.
What if I disagree with my result?+
A single test is a snapshot under specific conditions. If your result feels significantly off, consider: was the environment distraction-free, were you well-rested, did the time pressure affect your usual pace? You can also review every question and its explanation after submission.
Why does the same question not appear twice?+
Repeat exposure to specific items inflates scores without reflecting genuine improvement. Our platform tracks which items you've seen and excludes them from future attempts. The bank holds 10,000+ calibrated items.
How is this graded — by humans or by AI?+
Scoring is entirely deterministic — correct vs. incorrect against a predetermined key. AI is used only to generate the personalised narrative assessment, and that output is strictly framed by your actual scored results.
What payment methods are accepted?+
All major UPI apps, credit and debit cards, net banking, and digital wallets, processed securely through Razorpay. Receipts and GST-compliant invoices are issued automatically.
Can I take this test on my phone?+
Yes. The platform is fully mobile-responsive. For the IQ test, we recommend a tablet or laptop where possible, particularly for spatial reasoning questions. The psychometric test works equally well on any device.
Who built this?+
CognitiveIQ is a product of SourceForge Software Services Pvt Ltd, based in India. The platform combines modern web engineering with established psychometric frameworks from the academic literature.
